The MCD program is also an interdisciplinary program that involves faculty from a number of schools throughout the university as well as distinguished practitioners in the community development field. The program offers a unique approach to community development that combines issues of human, organizational, physical, and economic development in one holistic degree program.

These programs are also enriched by vibrant cooperative education and international studies programs that enhance these core academic programs.

The architecture program also has an affiliation with the University of Windsor's School of Visual Arts located in Windsor, Ontario.
